There is no analysis of why the elections were lost, only denunciations. Such was the press conference of the leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha from the headquarters where, alongside the future MP from the Elbasan region, Blendi Himçi, as well as the political leaders of the region, he denounced the phenomenon of the Bulgarian train in the May 11 elections.
"The 'Bulgarian train', which was widely applied in Albania, remained at the Pekisht station. It came off the rails and remained there. After information that the future deputy of Elbasan, Blendi Himçi, received last night that in the village of Pekisht, in the bar-cafe of the village elder Dervish Beqiri, a loyal observer of the SP, there are a considerable amount of voting materials, ballots, voting lists and narco-euro."
Not recognizing the election results, Berisha sees no reason to implement the DP statute that sanctions the automatic removal of the leader when the party does not come to power. The silence of the leadership structures and the parliamentary group allows the Democratic leader to advance demands against Edi Rama.
"There is only one solution, the solution is urgent, the creation of a technical government, the holding of new elections, Albanians voting freely. This is our position. We have hundreds of endless documents of destruction, of the transformation of the electoral process into an electoral farce."
He repeated his attacks on the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, who he says deliberately delayed the Italian Anti-Mafia operation so that criminal groups could help the socialist majority in the elections.
"What do you think, that the Italian Antimafia has delayed for electoral purposes? No, Dumani has delayed for electoral purposes the Italian Antimafia. He has deceived the Italian Antimafia as an ordinary person. That we have an operation now, that he is ruining our work now... And Poja broke the thorn. Who informed Elvis Doçi and the others? Who informed them? Here they are all together."
Berisha stated that he continues to enjoy respect for the Italian Antimafia, which he also congratulated, but said that the prosecutors of the neighboring country have been lied to by their Albanian counterparts. (A2 Televizion)
