Doubling the budget for agriculture, new roads in every village and subsidies of more than 200 million Euros. With these promises, Sali Berisha went to Dimal this Friday, where he met with farmers in the Berat district. The opposition leader also outlined the goals of the Alliance for Greater Albania program.
"This program has as its main goal the success and increased well-being of Albanian farmers, who build their lives with rivers of sweat and sacrifice."
Berisha emphasized that subsidies will be increased to allow farmers in the region to compete, while also showing the scheme for how the money will be distributed to citizens.
"We will go from 32 to 230 million, with which we will subsidize every seedling you plant, every head of livestock you keep, every production unit. This will be our solemn commitment to you."
He also sees the problem in agriculture in collectors, emphasizing that farmers are subjected to great injustice.
"I tell the collectors here that we support them, we are ready to credit them with soft loans and other facilities, but the prices cannot be monopoly. They will not be prices that will kill production."
In order to achieve rural development, the opposition leader also promised to repair all rural roads and committed to banning agricultural inputs that are not allowed in EU countries. (A2 Televizion)
