Prime Minister Edi Rama started this week with a meeting with candidates for MPs in Tirana at the headquarters of the Socialist Party.
The leader of the Socialist Party said that, in the May 11 elections, the political force he leads could reach nearly 1 million votes.
He also commented on the approaches to the Socialist Party by other political forces in the country. The Prime Minister said that this came after they realized that nothing good for the country comes from the opposition parties.
"In the May 11 team, we also have a significant composition of those who have crossed from one side to the other and are with us because in a long process they have seen how irrelevant and futile it is to believe that something good can come from coming out to seek votes for those who are facing us today."
It is welcome to me because the SP is much broader than itself because of the perimeter of its membership. At the end of the day, we are here the embodiment of the will of nearly 800 thousand Albanians, who with the vote of the diaspora could go close to 1 million.
"We must be ready to make the SP available to all those who share great goals. Never before has there been an electoral moment like this with such specific geopolitical weight," said Rama. (A2 Televizion)
