Meloni defends the agreement for immigrants with Albania: To be an example for others

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni defended the migrant deal signed with Albania, saying it could be an example for others to follow if it works well.

During an event in Croatia, she underlined that it is up to Rome and Tirana to implement the pact, which she considered smart and innovative.

 "As far as the agreement with Albania is concerned, I think it is a very innovative and very intelligent agreement." I think that this agreement was received with great interest by the other European partners and it obviously depends on our ability to make it work in the best possible way. But I think it can be an example to take and repeat, especially if it works well from that perspective," said Meloni. (A2 Televizion)
