Parliament without Berisha, Democrats demand accountability from Spiropali: Why

The deputies returned to the Assembly this Monday. There was only one bill on the agenda of the deputies, which apparently did not excite the crowd at 1:00 PM.

With Sali Berisha absent from the parliament hall, the Democrats appeared somewhat distracted. Rather than denouncing what they call the electoral farce, they focused on Spiropali's agenda, demanding an account of why he did not convene them on Thursday of last week.

"Parliament was supposed to meet on Thursday and you told us you were on an official visit to Ukraine. We are actually having lunch in Greece. This is an added arrogance and an indication of how you are treating the Parliament as private property," said Bardhi.

But for Spiropali, these accusations do not hold up, as according to her, the postponement of the session was not due to her absence, but because many MPs would not be present.

"I am glad that you follow my activity on social networks. But as we discussed at the Speakers' conference, the session from 12-16 was not postponed due to my participation in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit, but many MPs were absent from other activities," said the Speaker of the Assembly.

The Democrats were not satisfied with the explanations of the speaker and attempted to continue this debate. The Socialists, on the other hand, seemed determined to discuss the agenda and despite opposition from the opposition, they introduced the law "On the energy performance of buildings".

Berisha's messages were not forgotten by Flamur Noka, who ignored the agenda and continued with the denunciation of May 11. The Democrats' rhetoric about the May 11 elections did not bother the majority MPs, who were on their mobile phones the entire time. (A2 Televizion)
