Edi Rama continued his campaign for the May 11 elections on Sunday afternoon at a meeting with women in the town of Kamza.
He asked socialist women to cooperate with democratic women to vote for the Socialist Party, while he again called men "cheeky", saying that they only see the color of the shirt.
"You have to work, cooperate with democratic women, who understand very well the transition from politics to reality. When men are fans, they are syryk, they don't see, they only see the color of the jersey. The vote is not a ticket to see the team, but a choice for all the good things to go forward," said Rama.
"People were ashamed to say I'm from Bathor because they used it to insult because it was the same as saying you live in a swamp and today this is a thing of the past because Kamza courageously chose the path of the future and imagine if he had chosen it earlier where he would be today. And today is a beautiful day for the SP, what I see now is a beautiful sight for the SP because we have come a long way to get here with some of the ladies who are here, when you entered Kamza's party organizations you didn't find any girls, only a few men. The Socialist Party when we started this had 12 percent women and it was like the Kamza municipality started to grow and today we have 40 percent women, it's better than 12 but it's not enough, you have to make it 50 percent", said Rama.
