"Albania 2030 in the EU", Pirdeni: We fulfill our commitments within

The Minister of State for Public Administration and Anticorruption, Adea Pirdeni, participated in the high-level meeting "Albania 2030 in the EU, the Road to Reforms" where she emphasized the need for an all-round commitment to accelerate Albania's path to European integration within the current decade .

In her speech, the minister underlined that Albania has no time to lose in efforts for good governance, uncompromising fight against corruption and strengthening the rule of law.

She emphasized that European integration requires not only government approach, but also mobilization of the whole society.

PIRDEN'S WORD:

Today's meeting at the end of the year, I believe is, among other things, an expression of the understanding that today's Albania has no time to waste, but it also has no time to stop towards raising a higher standard in terms of governance. well, of the uncompromising fight against corruption and the rule of law.

And through all the geopolitical, ideological, internal regional and international technical variables that condition Albania in the EU, one axiom remains unchanged: Our integration into the great family of United Europe within this decade requires not only a governmental approach, but an approach and nationwide mobilization.

Of course, the enthusiasm for this historical process has in no way clouded our awareness of the challenges, these challenges that we have together and the need to discuss very clearly the responsibilities we have ahead of us to accelerate this unique journey of Albania.

But more than a challenge, I think that these are opportunities to build bridges of partnership and cooperation, to further promote the irreversibility of the implemented reforms, which in fact originate, define and have the final destination of European standards.

From the perspective of the colleagues with whom I have the good fortune to work to advance the reform in public administration and the anti-corruption agenda, but also from my perspective as the Minister of State responsible for good governance and anti-corruption, engagement with the experts attached to the Special Commission in public forums and has turned the Assembly into a hearth of open and highly professional dialogue with all of us, state and non-state actors.

Beyond our exchanges on many things, Albania has achieved so far becoming a regional leader in the field of public administration reform already strengthened in terms of organizing policies, strengthening the financial management system, but also in terms of providing services digital with effectiveness, we talked a lot about the challenges. For those related to increasing trust in our institutions, such as simplifying communication with interest groups, and further promoting proactive transparency and accountability, as we have spoken very carefully and attentively about intensifying the focus on the fight against corruption with systemic measures in those areas which still remain vulnerable to this phenomenon.

All these issues have been the subject of discussion and remain at the center of two key strategies, which are dictated by the negotiation process, such as the Cross-Sectoral Strategy Against Corruption and the one for Public Administration Reform.

However, in addition to the very substantive journey so far and the reawakening of the debate and discussion, let me add a tone of constructive urgency to all our commitments in the framework of the negotiations in the field of good governance and anti-corruption. The momentum created necessarily requires high intensity and involvement from all of us.

Therefore, in addition to the institutional commitment to continue with the pace of reforms in these two areas, we are ready to discuss extensively, and we welcome the continuation of the work of the commission's experts to discuss and agree on a clear, detailed sequence of the obligations we have received upon and that each of us knows, within the deadlines we have undertaken to respect.

We see the role of experts as very valuable not only as collaborators, but also as monitors with a critical lens for compliance with requirements, standards and anticipated deadlines. (A2 Televizion)
