Former DP MP Ervin Salianji, like Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, also calls the May 11 elections a farce. At a press conference with journalists after his release from prison, he said that the DP should focus on finding a solution to remove Rama from power.

In every election we have faced, from the partial elections in Korça to the last one, we face the same situation. We should not wait for Edi Rama to reflect. The DP, the leaders and supporters who sacrifice daily to keep the DP and the Albanians expect change. We must find a solution in what form we will remove Rama and the corrupt government. We will be here to communicate. I will give my opinion on how. The first phase that the DP has done well not to shift attention is to denounce everything about the lack of free and fair elections. It is time to find a solution."
