The coastline covered by the municipality of Vlora is expected to have much more public space on the beaches compared to the beaches that will be administered by private entities.
In implementation of the new law that sanctions entities that have the right to use beaches, it is noted that the number of applications has dropped significantly, more than half of what they were last year.
Also, the number of entities entitled to use beaches is expected to be about 60 percent less than last summer or translated into beach area, only 10 percent of the beaches will be administered by hotels that meet the criteria.
For hotel owners, this law is seen as positive in the development of tourism.
But the part that will be administered by the municipality has skepticism from hotel owners as to whether it will be at the level of service or cleanliness with private beaches.
Not only domestic vacationers but also foreign tourists have requested more public spaces on Albanian beaches, especially those on the Vlora coast. (A2 Televizion)
