"Gaza is experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe" - Erdogan from

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called today for an end to the bloodshed in Ukraine and Gaza.

Erdogan made the call from Tirana during the meeting of the European Political Community, where he said that in Gaza 2 million people are suffering from hunger and thousands of others are being killed by what he considered the arrogance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He said that in the same way that peace is being sought in Ukraine, Europe should also seek peace in Gaza, through a two-state solution.

"We are at a critical moment for the guns to fall silent and peace to be established in Ukraine. Today, everyone is contributing to the efforts for a solution to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire. Given the sensitivity of the process, encouraging the parties without imposing anything is very important, as far as a lasting peace is concerned. I have held separate meetings with President Trump, Zelensky, Putin, Prime Minister Meloni, etc.

Zelensky was in Ankara yesterday, where it was decided to start technical talks, for the first time since March 2022. We believe that this opportunity should not be missed, to avoid bloodshed. We rely on all our partners, to keep the channels of dialogue open. There are no losers in a just peace.

Gaza has experienced an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe during this time. We must say stop to this. Netanyahu's uncompromising and arrogant stance endangers not only Gaza, but the entire Middle East region. We expect Europe to show the right interest and aspiration for establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.

"More than 2 million people are starving in Gaza and we have no action to protect human dignity. Our main objective should be the two-state solution, which should be the only sustainable solution," Erdogan said, among other things, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
