A 50-year-old man in Tirana has been arrested by the Police after being caught walking armed through the streets of the capital.
Through a statement, the Police announced that the operation was finalized by the "Shigjeta" Special Force and Tirana Police Station No. 2.
The driver of the vehicle in which the 50-year-old was traveling was also arrested for failing to report a crime.
According to the Police, the 50-year-old has been convicted several times for illegal possession of weapons, narcotics, and robbery.
Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions, writes A2 CNN.

Tirana - Another case of illegal possession of weapons has been cracked down on by the "Shigjeta" Special Force as a result of surprise checks, based on the plan of measures to crack down on illegality in every field.
The police operation codenamed "Again" is being finalized by the "Arrow" Special Force and Police Station No. 2.
The 50-year-old man was arrested for traveling armed with a firearm, a pistol, and narcotics as a passenger in a vehicle.
The 50-year-old, convicted several times for weapons possession, narcotics, and robbery.
The driver of the vehicle was also arrested for failing to report a crime.
The firearm, narcotics, and vehicle were seized.
The "Shigjeta" Special Force Services, in continuation of their work to prevent and crack down on criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the plan of measures as well as on information obtained during the operation that two citizens were moving armed, in a vehicle, on "Ramazan Demneri" Street, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Again", to capture them.
During the operation, the Police services stopped the "Volkswagen" vehicle, with the driver, citizen MD, and the passenger, citizen EG.
During the physical search of citizen EG, the "Shigjeta" Police services found and seized a firearm, a pistol, combat ammunition and a quantity of cannabis.
Following the procedural actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of Police Station No. 2 arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto: EG, 50 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Unlicensed Weapons Possession" and "Production and Sale of Narcotics" and MD, 40 years old, for the criminal offense of "Failure to Report a Crime".
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. (A2 Televizion)
