Berisha: Prices are higher than in Germany and Italy, pensioners choose between

In the meeting with the leadership of the Democratic Party in Lezhë, the chief democrat Sali Berisha focused on the high prices of the basket, which have made life even more difficult for the Albanians.

The opposition leader blamed Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government for extreme poverty. Edi Rama comes out with the thesis that he will get the 4th mandate, at a time when he has brought about a ruin of the Albanian being, which no invasion before him has recorded. For the Schengen area, 1 million and 99 thousand Albanians left, until two months before the year 2024. Eurostat statistics.

If we take how many have left all over the world, I guarantee you that over 40% of the entire population go.

But of course this is the most dramatic aspect, because to lose 40-45% of the nation in a short span, like no civil war anywhere in the world, or global war, this is a great national disaster.

"Those who live here have been plunged into abject, abject poverty. With a growing poverty, by all indicators. Under most normal conditions, the market creates wealth which is distributed, says Adam Smith, from that time. In Albania, the market has created growing poverty like in no other country, due to the massive theft of public funds and assets," said Berisha.

He took Romania as an example to show that the level of basic food prices in Albania is almost equal to those in EU countries, where salaries are many times higher.

"I emphasize once again, in Romania, since 2013, salaries have increased 5-fold. They are 5 times larger than they were in 2013. In 2013, Romania clearly had at least 20% lower wages than Albania. We had the highest salary of 6 Balkan countries + Romania and Bulgaria. And this most ruthlessly froze wages. And now that he raised them, a few months ago we are the last again, we do not come close to any of the other countries. No, because he blocked them at a time when, I'm not saying it was 5-fold, but it was almost 3-fold in 12 years", explained the head of the DP.

Further, the leader of the blue headquarters stopped at the pensioners, since the DP considers the bonus of 10,000 lek that the government distributed for the end of the year as a mockery. Berisha said that a pensioner today receives at least 35% less as purchasing power than in 2013.

"Because today bread, milk, is double. Basic agricultural products are 2-3 times the price, in real numbers. Because today these prices have exceeded Greece, yes, but they have exceeded Germany, Italy. And he has to live with 150, 120, or 180 euros. He has to take the medicines, but if he takes the medicines, he doesn't get a meal of bread, or he leaves without taking the medicines", explained Berisha.

He further underlined that Rama condemned the majority of pensioners in the country who lived on remittances, i.e. the money sent by their children when emigrating, after "creating the narcoeuro here" .

"Narkoeuro devalued their remittances by about 40%. Raise prices. So it has created a situation that in many aspects exceeds imagination", said Berisha. (A2 Televizion)
