With the youth as decor behind him and old allies in front of him, Sali Berisha presented the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition.
Set in a hotel hall in Tirana, the leaders of the 25 parties that joined the Democrats were all seated in the front rows, but none of them spoke after Berisha's message.
"This coalition that is presented today before Albanians represents not only the absolute majority of Albanian citizens by a long shot, but also represents the political and all-round elite of the Albanian nation. [...] This coalition starts the race with an extraordinary moral superiority," said Berisha.
To see Albania magnificent, Berisha promised that it won't be long before they gain the trust of Albanians on May 11th.
"This is our project of Greater Albania, which is absolutely feasible and which this coalition, with its extraordinary potential, will transform into a reality for Albanians in its first mandate," Berisha added.
Berisha responded to the attacks of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who in recent days has called the DP's allies "a bunch of scumbags" by letting one of them speak.
"Recently, Kujtim has been saying, give him that mustache because he's going crazy for it. Kujtim, you and I know him psychologically, you know the reason why he has it. But this is not the business of this meeting," said the leader of the DP.
At the end of the coalition presentation, Berisha headed to the blue headquarters where he appeared before journalists again at the conference.
The democratic leader called on citizens to join the protest, but was reserved about the details of this rally. (A2 Televizion)
