Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, in an exclusive interview with A2 CNN, stated that in the coming days Albania will submit the fifth chapter in the European Union integration process.
"The fifth group of chapters is being opened. It is something that will happen in the coming days, it is simply about the technical part of finding the appropriate day to hold the intergovernmental conference. We are convinced that within this year we will open all the chapters. At the beginning of next year we will start closing some of them. It is an extraordinary progress that we are trying to manage in this very busy time", said Hasani.
When asked about international criticism of the pressure on SPAK, Hasani replied: "All the elements related to draft reports are elements that accompany the great puzzle of an effort that we will make a reality very soon. The European Commission has never had doubts that in Albania there is a serious partner, capable of pushing forward an agenda that is faster in terms of integration. Without a doubt, in this process, all the initiatives of the Albanian government are welcomed by European officials." (A2 Televizion)
