The discussions within the meeting of the two groups of the Democratic Party deputies at the headquarters of the Assembly, on the issue of the immigrant agreement with Italy, seem to have been fluid.

Gazment Bardhi himself admitted to journalists that he had opinions against sending the Rama-Meloni pact for immigrants to the Constitutional Court.

Asked if there was a division in attitudes between the group of deputies who support Sali Berisha and his colleagues who stand by his side, Bardhi said that "there was no such division".

Appreciating Italy as a friendly country, our parliamentary group has had a responsible discussion regarding this protocol and based on an analysis that our experts have carried out, where it is established that this protocol contradicts the Constitution, the DP parliamentary group has decided that the content of the protocol between the two governments is subject to control by the GJK. There were colleagues who judged that it should not be taken to the Constitutional Court. In the end, everyone has taken their stand and we all agreed that the most correct way is to take this agreement to the constitutional court.
